EHS Specialist The environmental, health and safety (EHS) specialist will work closely with the EHS manager to ensure all field service employees are properly trained and operating according to all applicable EHS standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation and standardization of EHS programs, policies, standards and safe practices
- Assist in conducting Technician Orientation Sessions
- Ensuring all employees are in full compliance with Outland, worksite, local, state, and federal EHS requirements
- Aid and guide all field staff regarding Outland’s EHS requirements
- Recognize specific hazards and the implementation of corrective actions
- Administer the safety incentive program
- Assist with timely and accurate reporting of key performance indicators
- Provide a visible presence at all Outland job sites
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven wind turbine technical skills
- Knowledge of EHS local, state and federal requirements
- Absolute commitment to upholding all EHS standards
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability and desire to teach and train
- Ability to travel more than 50% of the time and without advance notice as needed.
