Outland Names Hach As Director Of Land Acquisition

Outland Renewable Energy, LLC (Outland) announced the appointment of Ben Hach as the director of land acquisition. Hach will report to Dan Rustowicz, chief development officer, and will oversee all aspects of land acquisition and management related to wind farm development.

“Ben brings a proven track record from Invenergy and strong leadership skills as a result of his command of an Iowa National Guard unit,” said Rustowicz. “Greenfield wind development is a rapidly growing part of our development portfolio especially given utility desire for partial or outright ownership of projects.” Outland’s Business Development team, now 11 professionals and growing, is aggressively developing wind farm sites across the United States.

Hach brings established industry expertise in land assessment, permitting, zoning and all other aspects of project development. He has extensive background in anemometry as well as operation and maintenance of wind farms and turbines. With 14 years of experience, Hach has held various roles within the wind industry with responsibility for mapping and siting of numerous wind farms in most of the wind-rich states.

Hach is a graduate of Colorado State University and holds a bachelor of science in Industrial Technology. He is an active member of the Army National Guard as a Company Commander. He is relocating with his family from Iowa and will reside in the Chaska, Minn. area.
